“The Old Thistle Inn is not just at the heart of the local community, it is the heart of the local community.”
The Old Thistle Inn has been at the centre of the Westruther community for centuries – first opening its doors way back in 1721. Ever since, the Old Thistle Inn has provided a warm and welcoming retreat for Westruther locals and visitors from further afield.
Over the years, as the village has expanded, the pub evolved to meet higher demand. It now includes a renowned restaurant serving the best steaks in the Scottish Borders.
The Old Thistle Inn is not just at the heart of the local community, it is the heart of the local community. And we would like it to stay that way for many more years.
The Westruther Community Project is currently exploring opportunities that will secure the future of The Old Thistle Inn for generations to come.
